[22 ~ 25 August 2025] Invited overseas to participate in
Grand Event of the
Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do Shubukai |

In late August this year, it was my honor to hold two
roles,
representing Sensei Robert Campbell of Okinawa Uechi-Ryu
Karate-Do,
also representing Sifu LI Shek-Lin of Pak Mei Pai (White
Eyebrow Sect) Kung Fu
under KWOK Chi-Cheong's lineage,
in participating the 30th Anniversary Commemorative
Celebration of
the opening of the Fujisawa Dojo under Uechi-Ryu
Karate-Do Shubukai in Japan.
[Ref. 1] --- As early as the 1990s,
Sensei Robert Campbell had already met Sensei Keisuke
Fujimoto
(now Representative Director and Chief Instructor of the
Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do Shubukai)
in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, I was scheduled to visit the
Kugenuma Dojo, Fujisawa Dojo, and Honbu Dojo of
Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do Shubukai
for Okinawa karate techniques & Uechi-Ryu 8 kata
exchange practice,
as well as to experience the Okikukai yakusoku kumite.

Furthermore, I have been invited by Sensei Keisuke
Fujimoto
to teach the basic offensive & defensive techniques of
Pak Mei Kung Fu
at the Honbu Dojo, as well as at the Black Belt Seminar.
I have also been invited by Sensei Keisuke Fujimoto
to demonstrate the hands forms of Pak Mei martial arts
at the Honbu Dojo, as well as at the Demonstration
Festival.

I would like to extend special thanks to Sensei Keisuke
Fujimoto and
the members of Shubukai for their hospitality,
as well as Sensei Hiroko Hirao for leading the
sightseeing tour in Kamakura.
I would also like to express utmost gratitude to my own
teachers -
the practice of karate/martial arts always brings people
together.

Last but not least, we wish to express our sincere
appreciation to
Sensei Keisuke Fujimoto, all the executive directors and
members of
Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do Shubukai for their contributions &
efforts.
We warmly congratulate the Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do Shubukai
on the great success of its 30th Anniversary Celebration
of the Fujisawa Dojo! |

[19 July 2025] Pak Mei teaching before typhoon
signal number 8 |
It was good to meet Nick and his wife,
who both came from San
Francisco to Hong Kong.
Nick has experience in Fatsan Pak Mei, Dragon Style and MMA,
and yesterday he also experienced a private evening lesson of
Pak Mei Kung Fu (KWOK Chi-Cheong's lineage) in the hotel room
right before the typhoon signal number 8 was issued.
Looking forward to seeing you both again next time!

[21 June 2025] Pak Mei martial arts sharing night |
Tonight, in the role of Sisok (師叔), I shared a lesson with Dimi,
an enthusiast of Pak Mei martial arts,
demonstrating over a decade of "training and combat as one"
(練打一如).
In my Pak Mei Kung Fu
teaching,
while I strive to preserve
the culture, knowledge, skills and techniques
passed down from my Sifu LI Shek-Lin
under Master KWOK Chi-Cheong's lineage,
I also
inject some favorite methods from Uechi-Ryu Karate
and
other styles of Okinawa Karate-Do
- of course these are the additional contents.

(Right in black: Dimi)
I very appreciate my Sihing (師兄) Daniel Lai his
open-minded and
positive attitude,
which he welcomes his students to
engage in friendly exchanges
and learn from other teachers,
also never distorts such interactions into
strange accusations of
'sneaking attacks' or 'poaching students'.

[Summer Night 2022] Martial arts friends visit |
It was happy to have two martial arts friends,
whom I have known
for nearly two decades,
visit my group class of Pak Mei (White Eyebrow) Kung Fu.
One is Jason, a good friend in Western Boxing & Muay Thai,
and the another one is Richard Hin,
a good friend in Traditional
Chinese Martial Arts.

(Left in black: Jason; Right in blue: Richard
Hin)
Mainly, we share similar characters and hobbies,
which is why we
could get alone.
Martial arts practitioners do not always equal to rough persons,
but when it comes to self-defense or protecting others, we will
stand tall.
